Coming this Spring we will be beginning a Logos Ministry together. A group from FCC spent the summer in prayer on this ministry along with the staff and have said Yes! Yes, ensuring our children and youth know they are loved, that our church supports our families with children & youth of all ages, that they are a part of leading worship, and that they have a place to discuss how their faith impacts their life on a weekly basis is one of the most important things we can do! Logos is a mid-week youth group time for K-12 (by age group) that includes time for games, bible study, a family-style meal, time for planning ways of leading worship (and learning more about worship for our children), and overall a chance to get to know each other better. There will be a Parents' Q & A meeting on January 2nd after 10:45 services and the first Logos session will be on January 19th. Parents are an important part of Logos too! We need your prayerful support and will be asking for volunteers in different roles at times throughout the semester. Our proposed cost right now for the entire semester (15 Wednesdays) is $55 for the first youth/child and $45 for each subsequent youth/child from a household. The fee goes to cover weekly meals, bible study materials, and training for our adult leaders. It can be paid at the time of enrollment (enrollment Sundays will be January 2nd and January 9th) or 1/2 on January 9th and 1/2 at mid-semester. Sessions will run weekly from January 19th- May 11 skipping spring break and Ash Wednesday (our mid-semester break). Questions? Email Bill and/or come to the parent meeting on January 2nd. This is a ministry that both Bill and Dana have seen provide amazing things for children/ youth in previous churches and we would be happy to share experiences and answer questions about how we believe Logos will look at FCC!
