Andy Mangum joined the staff in 2002. He came here after serving a pastorate in Irving, Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Communication from West Texas A&M University, his Master of Divinity from Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University and a Doctor of Ministry from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He is married and has three children.

Rev. Bill Jeffreys
Associate Pastor for Children and Youth

Bill Jeffreys joined the First Christian Church staff in January of 2010 as Associate Minister. His ministry foci are Youth and Children's Ministries. He assists in worship leadership and pastoral care. Bill has served in youth ministry positions at Ridglea Christian Church in Fort Worth and in the Trinity-Brazos Area office before joining the FCC staff. He has been and continues to be very active in the area camping program leadership. Bill also has a background in hospitality management. Bill is a graduate of Texas A&M University (B.A. Sociology, minor in Religious Studies) and  Brite Divinity School at TCU (M. Div.). He was ordained in August of 2009. He is married and has two children.


Rev. Carol Walther
Associate Pastor for Pastoral Care

Carol Walther is minister of pastoral care at First Christian Church, Arlington. She came to this position in 2009. Her ministry includes worship leadership, pastoral care, and small group development. Prior to coming to FCC, she served for ten years as Chaplain of a retirement community in Fort Worth. Carol earned her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington, with disciplines of Speech Communication, Business and Sociology. She earned her MDiv, with pastoral care emphasis, at Brite Divinity School at TCU and was ordanined on June 9, 1996, at Northwest Christian Church in Arlington, Texas. She is married, has four married daughters and eleven grandchildren.

Dana Lobaugh
Minister of Music


A fourth generation Disciple of Christ and a 35 year veteran of church music leadership, Dana has served as full-time Minister of Music for First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Arlington since 2008. Dana directs FCC’s Chancel Choir, a dynamic adult handbell ensemble, "Ring of Glory," youth and children’s music. She also oversees smaller vocal ensembles and the contemporary service's Praise Team. Dana serves on the boards of Dallas Chapter Choristers Guild and Greater Dallas Handbell Association. She holds bachelors degrees in Voice Performance and Vocal Music Education from Phillips University in Oklahoma and has completed extensive doctoral studies in conducting and musicology, while serving as director of the Women’s Chorus at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX.
