SERVE
We encourage a number of different forms of service. Stewardship of time, abilities and financial resources is central to a person’s growth as a Christian. People at First Christian Church serve in a number of ministries within the church—nursery volunteers, choir members, library volunteers, fellowship hosts, greeters, and the list goes on. Additionally, people serve beyond the church walls. We serve as mentors and tutors in local schools, take up collections of food and gifts during peak need seasons, we provide food each month to a local shelter, engage in ministries to a nearby children’s hospital, and host a monthly neighborhood meal. Ten percent of our offering income is used to support ministries outside the church. As well, we take collections for Week of Compassion, Reconciliation Mission Offering, Juliette Fowler Home, and Southwest Good Samaritan Outreach.
