First Christian Church is . . .
A worshipping community. We gather each week for a service of prayer, song, scripture, sermon and communion. We believe that all people are welcome to Christ table. Our Sunday Morning worship schedule is:
8:30—Early Morning Worship (Sanctuary)9:35—Mid-Morning Worship (Blackwood Hall) 10:45—Late Morning Worship Service (Sanctuary)
First Christian Church is . . .
A learning community. We have Sunday School classes on Sunday morning beginning at 9:35 and an adult class at 10:45. Sunday School is a time for people to fellowship, share concerns and deepen their faith. Sunday morning for our children in grade school is a very special time. They participate in our exciting Sunday School called BibleLand. BibleLand involves interactive Bible learning that makes scripture come alive. Sunday evenings during the school year, we have programming for children 3-5 grade, and youth 6-12 grade. We also periodically schedule special adult Bible studies on Sunday evening. We have a Wednesday evening Bible study for High School students during the school year.

A serving community. We work locally and globally to help reach people’s needs and to serve them in the name of Christ. We partner with Disciples ministries and other ministry partners to bring effective change in the world. First Christian Church is . . . A caring community. We reach out to one another in love to fulfill Christ’s command that we love one another. Our pastors and elders regularly visit members who are in the hospital or unable to attend church for an extended period of time. We occasionally offer grief support groups. Our members care for one another in various ways. First Christian Church is . . . A community of fellowship. We gather formally and informally in a variety settings from adult fellowship groups—Christian Adult Fellowship, Christian Women’s Fellowship, Christian Men’s Fellowship, and Serendipities.
